A toolkit with nothing to hide.
Nuvoru is a growing collection of small, handy browser tools. They're built for the little moments when you need to format a JSON response, encode a string, convert a date, or generate a new ID — and just get on with your day.
# Getting started
There's no installation or sign-up. You can start using any tool in seconds.
Open the workspace and select the job you need from the sidebar.
Paste some text, enter a value, or adjust the options. Inputs are processed directly in your browser.
Use the tool's actions and copy the output when you're done. No downloads or accounts needed.
# The tool collection
Nine focused utilities are available in the first release. Select one to open it directly in the workspace.
Pretty-print, validate and minify JSON input.
Encode or decode Unicode text using Base64.
Encode or decode URL components safely.
Generate RFC 4122 version 4 UUIDs with secure randomness.
Create a SHA-256 digest of UTF-8 text.
Switch between Unix seconds, milliseconds and dates.
Count words and change capitalization and spacing.
Convert HEX colors to RGB and HSL values.
Create secure random passwords in-browser.
# Privacy & security
Nuvoru's tools operate in your own browser. Inputs to the included tools are not sent to a Nuvoru server for processing. There is no registration or tracking of the content entered into tools. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to measure page visits and browser performance; this sends page and performance information to Cloudflare, but never the text or passwords entered into the tools.
Local by default. Pasted JSON, encoded text, hashes and generated passwords stay in browser memory while you use the page. The only browser preference stored locally is light/dark theme. Web hosting providers may still log normal page requests, such as your IP address and requested URL.
Security-sensitive tools use the browser's built-in Web Crypto API. Use Nuvoru over HTTPS: cryptographic functions may be unavailable on insecure connections. Clear your input or close the tab to remove it from the open page.
# Common questions
Do I need to create an account?
No. Every tool can be used without registering, signing in or sharing personal information.
Is Nuvoru free?
Yes. The current set of nine tools is free to use. There is no paid tier in this release.
Does Nuvoru upload my input?
No. The supplied tools run their processing on your device. Your browser still requests HTML, CSS and JavaScript files from the hosting web server as usual.
Why does a crypto tool need HTTPS?
The Web Crypto APIs that provide SHA-256 and secure random values are available only in secure browser contexts, typically HTTPS or localhost.
Can I use the tools on a phone?
Yes. The interface adapts to smaller screens. Some large input values may be more comfortable to edit on a desktop.
Does URL Encoder encode a full URL?
The tool uses encodeURIComponent, which is intended for individual URL components. For example, it converts reserved punctuation as well; do not encode an entire URL when you want to preserve its slashes and separators.
# Updates
The first version of Nuvoru features nine free tools, a standalone documentation site, responsive layouts and dark/light mode.
New additions will appear here as the collection grows.
